I grew up in Upstate New York. Graduated from The Columbus College of Art and Design with a degree in Illustration. I received my Masters Degree in Art Education from Nazareth College in Rochester NY. I taught Art in the Public Schools (all ages) for sixteen years. While teaching, my greatest source of strength came from pursuing my own personal work. Through the years, many have collected my work, and I have participated in group shows.
In 2005 I left New York to move to the Mountains of North Carolina, and became a full time Artist. I have a great love for nature, which is often reflected in my work. I am also an avid hiker and horseback rider.
Artist Statement:
I have always been inspired by Nature, and the energy that forms evoke. I approach each work as a new life with unique value. I am currently focused on horses for my inspiration. I am an avid rider and they hold me captive by their power and beauty.
